Update from Miss Charlotte:
I hope you have had a wonderful Summer holiday and a well deserved rest!
It is unbelievable that we are starting a new school year and this year marks 14 years since we opened the Academy. We can't wait to welcome you back!
The Performance teams had a fantastic time performing in Disneyland Paris and we couldn’t have been prouder of them. The Disney performing arts team were full of praise and the whole experience was just incredible. We look forward to offering more opportunities like this in the future.
There are some exciting events planned already for this coming year so please make a note on the dates below and keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
Summer Camps:
Thank you to all those who joined myself and Miss Jess at our summer camps it was lovely to see so many of our students and enjoy some good old fashioned fun☺
Miss Jodie: Sadly Miss Jodie won’t be joining us in September as she has been offered an exciting performing Job in Disneyland Shanghai. We wish her all the best for the future and hope to see her again in the future. Miss Charlotte will be covering Miss Jodie’s classes from September.
Exams: All exam invoices have now been sent and I will be working on the timetable in the first few weeks of the term. These will be handed out as soon as possible.
Pantomime: If you are joining us for this year’s pantomime please make sure you send payment by 1st September to secure your tickets thank you☺
Annual Show March 2024:
It’s that time of year again and we can’t wait! Please make a note of our show dates listed below. The letter for this event will be going out very soon. New students who are starting with us in September are welcome to take part and we are on hand to guide and talk you through the whole process.
Reminder on Fees policies at DTA Academy
Students are offered a trial session.
Yearly fees have been divided into 12 equal monthly payments and are payable over a 12 month period (this includes the August summer holidays).
All fees are paid in advance via direct debit on the first of each month.
Once the trial session has been completed any additional fees due in the current month will be added to the next month’s fees and will be taken on the 1st of the next month.
In the event that a parent wishes to cancel classes at the end of the school year – the last payment will be taken on the 1st August as this will complete that year’s payable fees.
In the event of classes being cancelled Dance Theatre Arts Academy will reschedule the sessions, unfortunately if students cannot attend no refunds will be issued.
There are no reductions for missed classes due to sickness, holiday, school events etc.
If you decide to withdraw your child from Dance Theatre Arts Academy classes a month’s notice is required in writing.
All class fees, exam fees, event fees and show fees are non-refundable.
Fees will be reviewed annually.
Fees will be charged as follows:
45 minute class = £22.00 per month
60 minute class = £27.00 per month
30 minute class = £14.00 per month (seniors only)
75 minute class = £29.00 per month (seniors only)
DTA Academy offer the following discounts:
A 10% discount is offered to all students who take 3 or 4 classes per week.
A 15% discount is offered to all students who take 5 classes or more per week.
We also offer a 10% sibling discount to all children in the same family if they do not qualify for other discounts.

(please note dress up week dates have been changed due to the exam day on the 21st October)
Pantomime trip Cliffs Pavilion - 9th December
Annual show full run through - Saturday 24th February
Annual show full dress rehearsal - Saturday 2nd March
Annual Show 2024 Towngate Theatre Basildon
Friday 8th March, Saturday 9th March and Sunday 10th March 2024
May Day bank holiday no classes - Monday 6th May
Award presentation day - for all Junior, Middle, Pre-Senior and Senior students - 13th July 2024
Mini Starz - Watching week 13th July 2024
