Update from Miss Charlotte -
I hope all our Dance Theatre Arts families had a restful and magical Christmas. A huge thank you from the entire team for the generous gifts and cards – we truly appreciate your kindness. We had a fantastic last week of term, filled with fun and memorable moments. A massive thank you to Antonio and Georgia for coming in to deliver the recording studio session for our show and the Disney workshop. The kids had an amazing time, and it was a wonderful way to end the term.
A huge congratulations to all our students who took their exams in October. You all worked incredibly hard, and we were thrilled with the results, achieving a 100% pass rate again – congratulations to all!
I would also like to thank parents for your support with the new phone policy. We’ve seen a significant improvement, with students much more engaged in their lessons now that phones are outside the classroom. This policy will continue moving forward.
Performance Teams
A huge congratulations to all of our talented teams who performed at His Majesty's Theatre in London this past November! You were all incredible, and we are immensely proud of your hard work and dedication.
We recently sent out a survey to all team member parents regarding your interest in future events. If you haven’t had the chance to complete it yet, we kindly ask that you do so to assist with our planning for upcoming opportunities. Your feedback is invaluable.
Currently, the team books are closed, but I will be sure to notify parents when we begin accepting new members.
With the show fast approaching, please take the time to read all emails sent this term to ensure successful preparation. Also please make a note of our dates for the diary listed below.

Show good luck messages adverts-
We are now in full show mode and I am now preparing our show programme. I will be opening space for good luck messages. Parents and family can write a good luck message to their children and it will be professionally printed. Each entry will be £5 per message.

Supporting our School
We are always incredibly grateful to parents who take the time to share reviews about our school, as these significantly help raise our profile. Reviews can be sent directly to us via email for our website or submitted through the review section on our Facebook page. I also notice many parents recommending us on community forums and Facebook groups – thank you so much; this is truly appreciated.
I’d like to make a special request to any parents who work in local pre-schools. If you’re willing to take some leaflets for us to distribute in your setting, please let me know. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Buns and uniform-
Thank you for your continued support in maintaining a high standard of uniform. This is essential for our students' self-discipline and safety within class.
Please note that for all ballet classes from Junior 1 upwards, students should have their hair in a bun.

A reminder for our Monday pupils: all students should be in the correct Musical Theatre, Street and Drama uniform, including DTA-branded items such as jumpers and jackets. Please be aware that sport-branded or any other branded clothing is not permitted. Any students wearing non-DTA branded jumpers will be asked to remove them.
Thank you for ensuring that all dancers arrive at class in the correct uniform, with their hair in a bun. Together, we are creating a safe, focused, and professional environment where every dancer can thrive.

Working hours and contact preferences:
Please note that we no longer have a landline number for the school. Going forward it will be mobile only. Those who have the school WhatsApp this is the same number.
Please where possible contact us via email instead of text/WhatsApp for a quicker response. The emails are monitored by Charlotte and Linda so if Miss Charlotte is teaching Linda can deal with queries. WhatsApp messages aren't checked while classes are in action.
WhatsApp is fine for reporting class absences but any concerns that need to be addressed by Miss Charlotte or sensitive issues need to be submitted via email and texts won't be responded to for these issues.
All class bookings also need to be booked either via website or email only.

As a reminder - New Mobile Phone Policy
We have added a new mobile phone policy to our terms and conditions. The new policy is as follows:
The use of mobile phones is strictly forbidden during class and we advise students to leave these at home, unless they are travelling to and from the venue on their own. In which case they must remain in their bags at all times. We will have a designated area for bags and they will not be accessed during class. Students found using a mobile phone during class will have them confiscated until the end of their final session of the day.

As a reminder that all parents have signed up to the ClassForKids app this is the platform we use when taking your monthly fees.
